This is the longest stage. Starting from a campsite outside Omnodelger, riders head southwest. Far to the left, vehicles can be seen on the road leading to Mongolia's eastern border. While a new road is under construction, riders follow the old route.
Tsenchernmandal Soum is also renowned for its unique ecological environment, encompassing taiga forests and grasslands. It boasts a thriving wildlife, migratory birds, and pristine waters. Its thriving agriculture and livestock provide a vibrant opportunity to experience traditional Mongolian nomadic life. Tsenchernmandal Soum, a harmonious blend of nature, history, and traditional culture, offers a unique destination for travelers to the Khentii region, offering both a peaceful respite in nature and a historical experience. This region lies at the intersection of the coniferous forests and steppe regions of the Khentii Mountains, creating a unique natural environment where the characteristics of these two ecosystems coexist. The forests here boast a high level of biodiversity, with 27 species of rare wildlife, including argal serow, maral deer, mountain weasels, and brown bears. It is considered a key natural complex in the eastern Mongolian ecosystem.
About 15 kilometers from the start, riders follow a northwest valley into the mountains. The area still contains scattered gers and grazing livestock.
The valley trail, while not steep, gradually ascends for nearly 50 kilometers. The upper part of the valley is densely forested, providing a haven for wildlife. A clear spring lies 56 kilometers from the starting point. From the spring, continue 2km uphill, over a pass, and downhill for about 25km to reach Bayanmod village.
Bayanmod is the main town of Chemhermandal Soum. It offers services like a supermarket, bank, hospital, and public showers, so participants can restock if they need food or wait.
Cross the main Eastern Highway and continue approximately 5km into the grasslands to reach the finish line. This finish will be at a place where local shepherds spend their autumn and winter months. Water will be supplied from an artesian well, and participants will camp outdoors for the final part of the ride.
